PROJECT: EPSS: Officer of the Day Mobile Companion

The Need . With the introduction of the OOD Intranet Log there has become a want by the command and those standing watch for instant access to OOD information on the go.

Solution. Create a cost-effective, Pocket PC-deliverable Electronic Performance Support System using Flash and XML to allow the OOD to view vital information about their duties in a quickly updateable format.

• Created a familiar template that keeps consistent with standards set and used for TRACEN Petaluma and Coast Guard Websites.
• Created XML system for viewing documents.
• Will allow limited note taking capability that can be updated into the OOD Intranet Log.

Results . Users will be able to view information needed to perform their duties on demand as well as give them the capability of logging information for update into the current Log.
